NoteStash has no account, no server of ours, and no analytics. What you record stays on your device and in your own iCloud. We cannot see it, and there is nothing for us to sell, share, or lose.
That is not a promise about our intentions. It is a description of how the app is built: there is no server to send your data to.
Nothing.
There is no sign-up, no email, no username, no device identifier, no advertising identifier, and no analytics of any kind. We do not know how many trips you have taken, which currencies you hold, or whether you have opened the app since installing it.
Everything you enter — currencies, amounts, wallets, trips, spends, gifts, recipients, notes, and photos you attach — is stored on your device, and in your own iCloud account, if you have iCloud enabled, using Apple's CloudKit private database.
A CloudKit private database belongs to you, not to us. It is stored under your Apple Account, counts against your iCloud storage, and the developer of an app cannot read it. We have no administrative access, no export, no dashboard, and no way to request it.
If you turn iCloud off, the app keeps working and your data stays on your device.
Exchange rates, and nothing else.
To convert foreign cash into your home currency, the app requests published rates from api.frankfurter.dev and open.er-api.com.
These requests ask for currency rates. They do not carry your amounts, your holdings, your trips, your gifts, or any identifier. A rate request looks the same whether you hold five euros or five thousand.
The app works offline. With no network it uses the last rates it fetched and tells you how old they are, rather than hiding the number or pretending it is current.
NoteStash Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple tells the app one thing: whether this Apple Account owns the purchase. We never see your name, your payment details, or your billing address, and we receive no personal information from Apple in connection with a purchase.
If you attach a photo to a gift, that photo is stored with the entry — on your device and in your own iCloud, exactly like the rest of your data. It is not uploaded anywhere else. The app requests access to your photo library only at the moment you choose to attach one.
There are none. NoteStash contains no third-party SDKs: no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no attribution, no social logins. The app is built on Apple's frameworks and nothing else.
Because there is no tracking, the app does not ask for permission to track you, and there is no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
NoteStash is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export, or delete on request. You are in full control of your own copy:
